Living in the Abstract

Living in the Abstract
By Andrew Wiener

From April through September 2017, Chabot is hosting a photo-exhibition of 30 images—pictures of common objects that may evoke connections to natural astronomical phenomena. The exhibit is located on the 3rd Floor of the Dellums building at the top of the staircase.

"These images record the abstract and astral qualities of common objects. When a familiar object is photographed in a way that prevents us from imposing our experience upon it, realism and abstractionism merge to confirm that we are living in a world of abstract relationships as much as we are living in a physical world.”
