from 6pm - 11pm
300 Frank Ogawa Plaza
(Please note the new location)
The future of science education starts here at Chabot Space & Science Center, where we have nurtured curiosity and ignited that spark of interest in science for more than 130 years. Join other Bay Area business, community and philanthropic leaders in supporting our work to inspire the next generation of scientists, innovators and global thinkers at The 2014 Starlight Gala NexGen Now: A Benefit for Science Education. It all comes down to Earth on Saturday, September 20 at 6 pm in the Rotunda Building, 300 Frank Ogawa Plaza, downtown Oakland.*
This futuristic night will feature avant-garde libations, an out-of-this-world dinner, music and science. All proceeds will support Chabot's comprehensive science education programs, which touch the lives of youth who might not otherwise encounter the flicker of interest that becomes the spark and turns into passion. The story of our Galaxy Explorer student, Simone Batiste, is an example of our impact. Join us in our efforts to inspire young minds and change lives.
*Please note this is the first time we are holding The Starlight Gala off-site.
This beautiful and centrally-located facility will offer us more space and easier access.
