Comet Viewing & Dawn Hike
Nature Trail
The best time to see the Comet ISON will be early morning, so rise and shine to get a special look at it through our telescopes, and then take a journey into the redwoods on a moderate 3 mile hike, led by an experienced instructor. Learn about the early morning sky and nature while you take in the beauty of the morning sun.
Tickets: $10 (does not include Admission to the Center)

**Advanced reservations are encouraged as our hikes sell out quickly**
(Walk-ups are welcome, however, space permitting)
Hike Definitions
Easy: 3 miles, moderate to slow paced, along fairly level terrain
Moderate: 5 - 6 miles with some hills, at a moderate pace
Strenuous: 7 - 8 miles, hilly, at a moderate to moderately brisk pace

Please note: Comet viewing is not guaranteed and weather permitting for outside telescope viewing. Hike will take place rain or shine.
