Teacher Institute: June 20 - 29, 2011

Complete BOTH pages of the application.  Enrollment is limited to 24 participants. There is no cost to participating teachers, which includes light snacks and most of the instructional materials to conduct the Climate Change Unit developed by the Chabot Instructional Staff. Participants have the option to purchase 6 quarter units of CEU credits from CSUEB. Each participating teacher upon completion of the two week institute will receive:

• $1,000 stipend
• Earth Science and Climate Change Curriculum
• Curriculum Kit worth up to $1,000
• Access to specialized check out equipment for energy activities – ex. Energy bicycle generator equipment for renewable energy unit and hydrogen fuel cell kits.

Applications must be received by May 6, 2011 and will be limited to 24 participants. All applicants must complete this form in order to qualify for this Institute. We encourage teams of teachers from a school site to apply together as there will be time during the Institute to develop an implementation plan.
