Space Toy LED Garland and mini-exhibit
Space Toy LED Garland and mini-exhibit, featuring The Bay Lights!
Experience sci-fi whimsy under our garland of space-age lights and toys, a creative re-imagining of the LED strands used in The Bay Lights original installation. On view from December 20 through mid-May.
Beginning in February, visit our mini-exhibit for an up-close and behind-the-scenes look at the LED technology used in The Bay Lights and learn about both the 2013 installation and the January 2016 re-lighting.
What role does imagination play in science?
This is an age old question that has been discussed, debated, and celebrated throughout the world. At Chabot, we pride ourselves on facilitating thoughtful discussions, sharing relevant information, and inspiring our community to explore. In that vein, Chabot is thrilled to welcome the work of local artists Ryon Gesink and Orion Fredericks. Their individual pieces have been shown throughout the United States. Their sculptures, Fata Morgana, by Fredericks and Oscillation II, by Gesink will be on display at the museum for 6 months.
