Chabot Space & Science Center presents a series of community conversations with science and futurist thought leaders

Will Wright, Game developer and thought leader

Will Wright, game developer known for The Sims among other titles, career has merited him the "Lifetime Achievement Award" at the Game Developers Choice Awards and he was inducted into the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences' Hall of Fame. Until 2006, he was the first person to have been honored this way by both of these industry organizations. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts awarded him a fellowship, the first given to a game designer.

Wright has a great interest in complex adaptive systems and most of his games have been based around them or books that describe them.

Ryan T. Scott, Researcher, NASA Ames

Scott works in the The Bone and Signaling Laboratory, which  is a multi-investigator collaborative facility in the  NASA Ames Research Center that investigates the physiological responses of bone to the spaceflight environment.
