Internship OpportunitiesPosition: Exhibits Design Intern General Description:Interns will participate in the development of exhibitions. Includes producing conceptual design, scale drawings, construction details, graphic design and participation in the mounting of the exhibit. Assist in the creation of models in three dimensions and virtual space. Tasks may also include materials research and artifact measurement. Students will also assist with graphic design, image research, & acquisition and graphic-production for exhibition-quality and large format printing. Assist with public programs and the installation of exhibits. Qualifications:Students with a two or three- dimensional design, graphic design, art, or architectural model making background are highly desired. Good people skills. Candidates should have some exposure to the principals of design and possess excellent design skills and strong computer skills in Macintosh & Windows OS, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Quark XPRESS, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office. Compensation: Internship is Unpaid
Eligibility: The program is open to undergraduate students who have completed a minimum of one year of study (or the equivalent), graduate students, recent graduates (no more than two years out of school), and career-changers currently enrolled in a degree program. If applicable, academic credit may be available through your college or university. Interns will be required to work at least 12 hours a week up to a maximum period of 6 months. The starting date and duration of your internship is flexible and may be discussed with the supervisor.
