Scheduler
Position Summary
Under general supervision, schedules all K-12 education activities
and related events. Prepares and maintains required documentation.
Provides data reports to Director.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates the scheduling of school groups, challenger
missions, and related events using VISTA software. Works with
science center personnel to ensure a well coordinated and positive
visitor experience.
- Coordinates delivery of classes and teacher assignments
to insure best possible visitor experience.
- Responds to telephone, email and in person inquiries from
prospects about their event needs and/or interests. Assists
clients with pricing, payment, schedules, deposit requirements
and program activities.
- Mails out invoices, confirmations and schedules.
- Receives payments for school visits and handles purchase
order billing as necessary. Prepares payments for accounting
deposits.
- Greets visiting groups upon arrival at the Center and orients
them to their scheduled activities; assist groups in planning
and preparation of activities during visit; aids in instructional
efforts as appropriate.
- Disseminates information packets about CSSC to potential
visitors.
- Prepares and distributes post-event evaluation surveys and
forwards recommendations for improvements and overall client
satisfaction to appropriate staff.
- Maintains master calendar with scheduled school group visits
and related events.
- Prepares monthly reports on attendance numbers.
- Tracks and assists with special bookings that are grant
funded.
- Contributes to the content and procedures of the education
catalogue.
- Assists with marketing of schools programs, teacher professional
development, summer camps and other related education activities.
- Provide on-site assistance during events when needed.
- Other duties as assigned

Education/Qualifications
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year
college or technical school; and one to two years related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of
education.

Compensation
Salary for this position is commensurate with other non-profit organizations
and will be commensurate with experience.
