Tales of the Maya Skies, produced by Chabot Space & Science Center, is an immersive digital full-dome Planetarium experience. Audiences are taken on a voyage into the Yucatan jungle to engage in the culture of the Maya people, their art, astronomy and creation story. Narrated by Latin Grammy Award winner Lila Downs, the show inspires and awes through stunning visuals and a custom score.

Begin the Baktun!
Tick... tick... tick...
Chabot celebrates the end of the Maya calendar cycle and start of a new Baktun. Explore the relationship of astronomy in Maya culture with a full day of festivities including, screenings of our planetarium show, Tales of the Maya Skies, with a Q&A session with the producer and director, a café conversation, dance performances, a sunrise hike, and Maya cuisine.
