Mysterium: An Evening of Magic and Mystery

Saturday, October 27, 2018

Join our largest party of the year to benefit science education!

Tickets available now

On October 27th, we will transform the Center for a night of feasting, dancing and fun - to honor leaders in science and the community and to raise important funds for Chabot's innovative, hands on STEAM programs that reach more than 50,000 children across the Bay area and that inspire lifelong learning for more than 160,000 visitors across our community.

This year’s theme, Mysterium, was chosen with a nod to the gorgeous geometry of Johannes Kepler’s breakthrough work Mysterium Cosmographicum. The setting for this annual event is our beautiful Science Center, an award-winning feat of architecture nestled among the redwoods, featuring sweeping views of the Oakland Hills and the San Francisco Bay from our newly expanded observatory deck. The evening will begin with a playfully "mysterious” cocktail hour, continue to a meal of classic Fall gastronomy and local wines. Our keynote speaker will present on the modern-day mysteries driving the vanguard of scientific research. A lively after-party, included with each dinner ticket, will begin at 9:00 p.m.  Creative black tie-dress evocative of our Mysterium concept is highly encouraged.
