Really Cool Experiences Happen After Dark

Chabot offers many wonderful experiences, many of them After Dark. Whether you are looking for a unique date night experience or a fun place to search for galaxies and nebula, Chabot has something for everyone. We are open late every Friday and Saturday evenings and feature telescope viewing from our three giant telescopes, weather permitting of course. In addition, we will have special events, lectures and parties for many occasions including group events and corporate team building.

From time to time we rent out our Center for weddings, corporate holiday parties and private events. Check our calendar for those dates.

The list below is just some of the wonderful things you will find AFTER DARK at Chabot.

The X-15 was truly one of the most cutting edge ideas ever to come from drafting tables. Scientists say that there was a first sea creature that took an evolutionary leap out of Earth's ocean to become the ancestor of all land animals. The X-15 is the first primitive spacecraft to retain its hereditary vestiges from aviation; like legs on fish carrying its wings into space where they serve no purpose. This test vehicle left Earth's atmosphere to become the evolutionary link to all manned spacecraft.
