Our Ask Jeeves Planetarium is a state-of-the art full-dome digital projection system. This new system is capable of projecting a brilliant seamless image over the entire 70-foot dome surface and delivers jaw-dropping digital sound. The images surround the audience, extending beyond the peripheral vision, leading to an experience that is fully immersive and engaging.

Chabot’s digital dome seats 240 people under a 70-foot diameter screen, and features live and pre-recorded shows.

With an expert guide and cutting-edge astronomical visuals, the Cosmos 360 series reveals the workings of the Universe from new perspectives. A new live presentation debuts in our digital-dome planetarium every three months.

The ultimate example of citizen science, the winning team will successfully land a robotic spacecraft on the Moon, have it travel 500 meters on the surface, and send back video imagery. Using the latest three dimensional laser scanning and advanced graphic techniques, Tales of the Maya Skies weaves together the richness of Maya culture, stories, science and contributions to our way of life.
