Climate Change High School Teacher Institute

This ten-day Institute will prepare teachers to engage their students in climate science topics such as: energy in the Earth system, climate, causes of climate change and solutions to human impacts on climate change.

Chabot offers a range of stimulating, hands-on science workshops for educators. Many of these workshops have integrated themes including math, literacy, art and social studies. All of our workshops provide content knowledge, curriculum and resources that can be used in the classroom immediately. Teachers also have the option to purchase continuing education college credits in all of our workshops.

To register for a workshop:

• Go to the Online Application Form
• Click the checkbox(es) for the workshop(s)* you want
• Click the "Next" button at the bottom of the Selections page
• Complete form and submit request**

** Note: Payment for on-line teacher workshop registrations are made by credit card on a secure website through Verisign.

A minimum enrollment is needed for each workshop. If this minimum is not met at least two weeks prior to the first workshop meeting, the workshop will be cancelled and a full refund will be issued. In the event of participant cancellation, the registration fee may be applied to another workshop--the fee will not be refunded. All workshops, except where noted, are held at Chabot Space & Science Center.
