The Chabot Scout program is an excellent opportunity for boys and girls in Scout troops to earn their badges. This program will take your group from Earth into the great unknown through workshops, telescope viewing, planetarium shows, or an overnight programs. This is an adventure your group won't soon forget.

Packages:

Chabot’s Day Workshop

Open To: All scout groups, family and friends

Dates: Call for availability (Saturdays)

Time: 3pm - 10pm

Location: Chabot Space & Science Center, Oakland

Cost: $40 per child/$20 per adult

(Dinner provided at additional cost)

Minimum Number of Participants: 25 children

Maximum Number of Participants: 72 (adults & children)

Blast off into an out of this world experience exploring the outer realms of space! With this fun filled, activity packed program scout groups can complete the requirements for their astronomy and space badges. Explore and experience the center with a scavenger hunt and a custom workshop, tour our state-of-the-art telescopes and discover the wonderful history that Chabot has to offer! Enjoy an experience like none other; take a trip into space with a spectacular planetarium show Sky Tonight. End your journey here at the center with telescope viewing. See stars and planets that most of us only get to see on TV. So reserve your spot in space today!

 

Chabot’s Overnight Odyssey

Open To: All scout groups, family and friends

Dates: Call for availability (Saturday - Sunday)

Times: 3pm Saturday or 11am Sunday

Location: Chabot Space & Science Center, Oakland

Cost: $65 per child/$40 per adult

(Dinner and breakfast provided at additional cost)

Add Mission to Mars: $25 per person

Minimum Number of Participants: 25 children

Maximum Number of Participants: 72 (adults and children)

What to Bring: Sleeping bag, pillow, overnight clothes

Space…the ultimate adventure and it starts at Chabot! Learn everything there is to know about space. Through Chabot’s overnight odyssey, real astronomers show you the ropes of what space is all about. Explore and experience the center with a scavenger hunt and a custom workshop, tour our state-of-the-art telescopes and discover the wonderful history that Chabot has to offer! Enjoy an experience like none other; take a trip into space with a spectacular planetarium show Sky Tonight. End your journey here at the center with telescope viewing. After that the real adventure begins! Stay up late, eat some popcorn and enjoy a space themed movie! Wake up in the center to start another exciting day!  Food Options:

Get the star treatment while visiting with your scout troop! Our Celestial Café offers three cosmic dinner packages to pick from which include entrees, beverages and desserts. And the best part is the café is on site and will have dinner waiting! Even better, for groups staying the night, is a discounted price if both dinner and breakfast are ordered. Just let the Group Sales Coordinator know which package you want upon booking.
