The air-blown forms in the sands of "Aeolian Landscape" (lower left) and the wind-crafted patterns of dust and snow in Mars' southern polar ice cap (upper right) bear a strong resemblance  to each other.

How It Works:  A fan blows air across a basin filled with fine powder in this artwork.  Visitors may change the direction of the fan to create new patterns of dunes and wind-swept features.
