Another of the beautiful gems of the deep sky called
planetary nebulae, the “Blue Snowball” in the constellation
Andromeda is so named for its bluish tint. As with all
planetary nebulae, what you are looking at is a shell of gas
that has been blown off by a dying star—a star still visible
at the center of the nebula through larger telescopes.
